iGrant.io joins the WE BUILD Consortium's WP4 Interoperability Event in Stockholm
Supporting digital credentials using the EUDI Wallet and European Business Wallet infrastructure, which works across issuers, verifiers, wallet providers, trust services, and digital services.

The WE BUILD Consortium’s WP4 interoperability and implementation event in Stockholm brings together the technical teams behind the consortium’s shared wallet infrastructure for hands-on testing. The focus is on connecting the different WP4 components, resolving implementation gaps and improving readiness for the pilot usecases being developed across the consortium partners.
George Padayatti (Partner and Head of DevOps) and Benjamin Hansson (Full-stack Engineer) will represent iGrant.io at the event, contributing our experience with EUDI Wallet and European Business Wallet implementations.

About the event
The two-day event focuses on WP4 implementation work, and teams bringing together European Business Wallets and EBWOID (Organisational Identity), EUDI Wallets and PID, trust infrastructure, Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs), and testing into one connected technical chain.
A key objective is to strengthen the technical and operational foundations needed for the usecases being developed across WP2 and WP3. This means testing whether wallets can receive and present credentials, identify blockers or specification gaps that become visible when implementations from different WP4 groups are connected.
About WP4 (Work Package 4)
Within the WE BUILD Consortium, WP4 focuses on the shared technical foundations needed to support wallet-based services across the pilot. Led by the Swedish Agency for Digital Government, its work covers:
- Wallets and identity data: Wallet providers and providers of Person Identification Data (PID) and organisational identity data.
- Trust and signatures: Trust infrastructure and qualified trust service providers, including services supporting digital signatures.
- Architecture and interoperability: Shared architecture, security, semantics, conformance and testing.

Our contribution
iGrant.io brings implementation experience from its Organisation Wallet Suite and Data Wallet. Together, these products support organisations and individuals in issuing, receiving, managing, presenting and verifying digital credentials.
Our participation builds on earlier work with the WE BUILD Consortium. At the workshop on aligning EUDI Wallet and European Business Wallet building blocks in Amsterdam, Lal Chandran co-led the track on Business Wallet Unit Attestation, lifecycle, binding, discovery and security. The work explored common technical models that can be reused across different use cases.
Our recent demonstrations at Global Digital Collaboration 2026 also show how these wallet capabilities can support practical banking, payment and business services:
- Consumer banking and payments: Developed with Bank iD in Czechia, the demonstration shows how EUDI Wallets can simplify bank account onboarding and support direct account-to-account payments. - Trusted eReceipts for B2B payments: Our article on taking EUDI Wallet payments from the consumer to the company explains how the pilot connects an employee’s payment with a signed receipt delivered to the company’s European Business Wallet. Why this matters
The success of the WE BUILD large-scale pilots depends on more than each technical component working independently. EUDI Wallets and European Business Wallets need to interact with credential issuers, trust infrastructure, QTSPs, registration services, and relying services as part of a single end-to-end transaction.
Testing the complete chain helps expose differences between implementations before they affect pilot services. It also gives the WP4 teams an opportunity to resolve blockers together and translate what they learn into specifications, implementation guidance, onboarding material and reusable testing resources.
