WE BUILD Consortium in Paris for advancing business transactions using EU Business and EUDI Wallet

The WE BUILD Consortium is a European project comprising 180+ organisations working together to develop the EU Digital Identity Wallet for business and payment use cases. The initiative is testing 13 defined scenarios to establish a secure, interoperable digital identity infrastructure across 27 EU countries.

This two-day gathering in Paris brought together a remarkable cross-section of the European payments ecosystem for hands-on testing of business payments, invoicing and digital receipts using European Business Wallets and EUDI Wallets. Rather than theory, the focus was firmly on execution: working through real-world scenarios with live implementations across a uniquely diverse set of stakeholders.

WE BUILD Consortium Business Payments, Invoicing and Receipts Workshop: A workshop was held to test end-to-end business payment and invoicing flows using European Business Wallets and EUDI Wallets, bringing together stakeholders from across the payments ecosystem. The session explored how digital wallets can support real-world business transactions by enabling secure identity, payment confirmation, and invoicing workflows across systems such as Peppol, card networks, wallet providers, and public-sector infrastructure.

Participants went hands-on with:

• End-to-end business payment flows using EUDI Wallets and European Business Wallets
• Invoicing scenarios across buyer and seller implementations
• Digital receipt issuance and verification
• Cross-stakeholder interoperability testing
