Redpill Linpro and iGrant.io to opensource consent building block for ITU's GovStack
Description
Redpill Linpro and iGrant.io are proud to announce plans to opensource iGrant.io’s Consent Building Block (BB) based on the GovStack specification for use in Web 2.0 and Web 3.0. The first step was the public release of the developer specification on 1 September. This achievement marks a significant leap in technological innovation, underlining the commitment of both companies to reshape governmental services through groundbreaking solutions.
At the heart of this accomplishment is the innovative Consent BB, a microservice engineered to open new frontiers in consent management. iGrant.io and Redpill Linpro have architected a microservice that will seamlessly integrate into GovStack, the cutting-edge technology componentry that provides a whole-of-government approach to investing in digital infrastructure. The Consent BB empowers governments to streamline consent-related operations, setting a new standard for transparent, compliant, and citizen-centric data usage and exchange. Moreover, the Consent BB plays a pivotal role as a fundamental feature of data exchange systems in the landscapes of both Web 2.0 and the emerging digital wallet-based Web 3.0. It embodies the evolution of consent management as a critical component of these dynamic worlds, ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance in a seamlessly interconnected environment.
Henrik Gavelli, CEO of Redpill Linpro, says, “Our collaboration with iGrant.io testifies to our dedication and innovation to reshaping the landscape of consent management. The Consent BB encapsulates our vision to empower citizens to safely and securely navigate the muddy waters of data protection and create better and healthier digital societies.”
Lotta Lundin, CEO at iGrant.io, comments, “The Consent BB is a driving force behind data sovereignty and secure data exchange. Our collaborative effort has produced a game-changing microservice that addresses the complex demands of a data-driven society.”
Dr Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of ITU’s Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT), adds, “The GovStack initiative opens pathways for innovation and encourages solutions for digital development. This collaboration is a clear demonstration of how private and public sectors can collaborate to drive digital transformation.”
